This qualification provides the skills and knowledge for an individual to administer and manage information and communications technology (ICT) support in small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs) using a wide range of general ICT technologies.

Persons working at this level provide a broader rather than specialised ICT support function, applying a wide range of higher level technical skills in ICT areas such as networking, IT support, database development, programming and web development.

All students :
18 years or older and completed Year 12 or equivalent; or a Certificate IV qualification
International Students :
Year 12 completion or equivalent or able to declare language literacy and numeracy competency (candidates should be able to read and write English to approximately year 12 level or equivalent).
International Students :
IELTS 5.5 with no individual band below 5.0 (or the equivalent recognised English test).
After achieving the ICT50115 Diploma of Information Technology, candidates may undertake the ICT60315 Advanced Diploma of Information Technology Business Analysis, or a range of other ICT Advanced Diploma or other higher education sector qualifications
